Bill Paschall

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 5th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bridgeport with burial in Cottondale Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Pastor Gerald Epperson will officiate and be assisted by Pastor Gerald Peterman. Pallbearers include Richard Blake, Rusty Childs, Kevin Francis, David Hoyler, David Wood, and Jeff Wood. Honorary pallbearers include Frank Blank, Jack Moody, and Leroy Schmedthorst.

Bill was born on April 25, 1926 to Elmer and Margaret (Barfield) Paschall in Cottondale. He is retired from farm and ranch, owned and operated Weighmaster Livestock Systems and Southwest Electronic Livestock Auction Systems. Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Barbara Ward on January 30, 1964 in Friona, Texas. Bill was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where he was an elder, trustee, and congregational president. He was a member of the Runaway Bay Chamber of Commerce, Runaway Bay City Council, Bridgeport Historical Society, and Citizen of the Year 1986-87.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Maurice and Ron Paschall; and his sister, Sandra Paschall.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Barbara Ward Paschall of Bridgeport; his daughter, Jeana Actkinson and husband Bobby of Runaway Bay; his son, Dusty Paschall and wife Jennifer of Dallas; 7 grandchildren, Lindsey Childs and husband David, Lauren, Beau, Sydney, Lizzy, and Jack Paschall and Ches Actkinson; his great grandchild, Brodie Childs; 2 sisters, Margaret Wood and Marilyn Davis; his brother, Ralph Paschall and wife Betty; other family members and a host of friends.
