BOYD -- Billie Nell Sanders Roper, 76, a retired bookkeeper, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Interment: Garvin Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m Tuesday. Officiator: Rev. Brent Nordin. Pallbearers: Jamie Lamance, Yancy VanSchuyver, Stoney Croxton, Dustin Lamance, Ryder Jaramillo, Eric VanSchuyver, Bobby Radado, Justin Davis, and Casey Gregory.
Billie was born on February 15, 1931 in Clarksville, Texas to Chunnie Harris and Bonnie Ola (Brown) Sanders. She married William Ruel Roper in 1949 in Fort worth.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Kimberly Roper; her grandson, Antonio "Rusty" Jaramillo II; her sister, Anna Ruth Brown; and her brother, Chunnie "Coon" Sanders.
She is survived by: Daughters, Cindy Lamance and husband, Harry, of Boyd, Bonnie Jaramillo and husband, Anthony, of Newark and Doll VanSchuyver and husband, Lonnie, of Newark; son, W.R. "Rocky" Roper Jr. and wife, Janiece, of Boyd; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters, Naoma Franzeo and Carolyn Sue Wright, both of Fort Worth, Mary Brannan of Bridgeport and Georgia Ann Wrey and Modrel Quatro, both of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
