Billy Wayne Burgan

Alvord ~ Billy Wayne Burgan, 68, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 1st, 2023.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5th, 2023 at Open Range Kingdom Church in Krum with burial at Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Pastor Ritch Johnson will officiate. Pallbearers include David Reed, Joey Coats, Ronnie Hammons, Mike Gonzales, Kevin Baker, Phillip Matwijszyn, and Michael Beasley.

Billy was born December 26, 1954 to Earnest Richard and Dollie Marie (Lowney) Burgan in Dallas, Texas. He was united in marriage June 18, 1982 to Connie Minton in Durant, Oklahoma. Billy was an Operator for TxDot for many years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will dearly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Dollie Burgan; and a brother, John Delockeroy.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of over 40 years, Connie Burgan of Alvord; his daughters, Mandy Wingert and husband Jason of Decatur, and Misty Burgan of Grand Prairie; his sons, Jordan Burgan and wife Darcy of Alvord, and Jimmy Burgan and wife Jackie of Cottondale; grandchildren, Hunter, Averi, and Easton Wingert, Colton Gonzales and wife Kali, and Jacklyn Gonzales and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Madeline Burgan, Hadley Hurd, Layla Ramos, and Presley Paz; his brothers, Ray Burgan and wife Gloria, and Richard Burgan and wife Glenda; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
