Bridgeport ~Billy Leon Grantham, 59, a retired farmer, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Denton.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Balsora Baptist Church with burial in Boonsville Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Glen Connell will officiate. Pallbearers include Ronnie Holt, Phil Wolf, Brandon Richardson, Jamie Marlett, Bruce Church, and Tony Jackson.
Billy was born on August 6, 1953 to Jessie Ray and Mae Bell (Wood) Grantham in Bridgeport. He was united in marriage to Brenda Stark on September 19, 1980 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Billy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Connor.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Brenda Grantham of Boonsville; his son, Brad Alan Grantham of San Francisco, California; his daughters, Shealynn Gomez of Bridgeport, Shawna Leon (Grantham) Marlett and husband Jamie of Boonsville; his grandchildren, Tanner, Taylor, Trace, Caleb, and Ashley; his brothers, Robert Grantham of Boonsville, Travis Grantham and wife Rose of Boonsville; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
