Alvord ~ Billy Thomas Harrison, 60, retired military, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, October 25, 2016.
Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery in Chico. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Glenn Waldon will officiate and Veronica Greanead will assist.
Billy was born on September 5, 1956 to Jewell and Patricia (Simpson) Harrison in Bridgeport. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. Billy was a loving brother, son, father, and grandfather. He was an outdoors man, did gardening, and loved his church. Billy was fond of saying “How bout them Cowboys” and his favorite saying was “I Got Dogged”. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Alvord and the Disabled American Veteran.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Jewell Ray Harrison.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tiffany Harrison of Fort Worth; his son, Matthew Harrison and wife Briar of Denton; his grandchildren, Leela Harrison and Jason Sanford; his mother, Patricia Harrison of Alvord; his siblings, Deborah Hill and husband Leslie of Arlington, Cindy Carter and husband Ozie of Chico, Chris Harrison of Alvord, Karen Waldon and husband Glenn of Bridgeport, and Roger Harrison of Alvord; other family members and a host of friends.
