DECATUR; Billy Jeffrey, Jr., 55, an associate pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Decatur went to be with our Lord Thursday, January 20, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 22, at Grace Baptist Church in Decatur with Reverends Van Gardner and Bill Hughes officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 pm in Center Valley Cemetery in Hamilton, Texas. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Danny Barnett, Steve Hunt, Doug Johnson, Darrin DeCross, Shane Smith, and Rick Polk.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jeff Ramey, Bobby Hughes, Evert Castelein, and Jimmy Holloway.
Billy was born November 16, 1955 in El Paso, Texas to Billy Frank, Sr. and Nelda (Johnson) Jeffrey. He married Donna Ivy on February 18, 1994 in Arlington, Texas. He was an Associate and Youth Pastor at Grace Baptist Church since 2002. He loved working with the church youth and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Left behind to cherish is memory is his wife of 16 years, Donna Jeffrey of Decatur; daughter, Amanda Hadley and husband Anthony of Burleson; grandson, Connor Hadley of Burleson; father, Bill Jeffrey, Sr. of Arlington; sister, Diana Stelver and husband Wes of Granbury; nephew, Matthew Mitchell of Arlington; a host of friends and church family.
Billy was preceded in death by his mother, Nelda Johnson Jeffrey.
Family requests memorials be made to Grace Baptist Youth or Benevolence Fund, 600 South Trinity, Decatur, Texas 76234 or to be a bone marrow donor in Billy's name.
