Billy D. Kemp

Boyd~ Billy D. Kemp, 80, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in Paradise.

Graveside service is 11:00 AM Saturday at Pleasant Grove #2. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Brother Terry Terry will officiate.

Billy was born on August 14, 1940 to Dan and Javillia (Stroud) Kemp in Rhome. He was united in marriage to Betty Vess on September 15, 1956 in Boyd. Billy retired from 3 Way trucking and was a member at Friendship Baptist Church in Boyd where he was the Deacon for over 50 years. He has been a Master Mason since October of 1973.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Doralee Kemp.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Ricky Kemp, Vickie Lemond, Penny Fite, and Randy Kemp and wife Kristina; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
