Billy Wayne Lindsey

Bridgeport ~ Billy Wayne “Bear” Lindsey, 58, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pastor Chris Yost will officiate. Honorary pallbearers include Stanley Mitchell, David Shepperd, Mike Lindsey, Ricky Lindsey, Charles O’Neall, and Larry Lindsey.

Billy was born on December 5, 1957 to Jimmy and Terry (O’Neall) Lindsey in Bowie, Texas. He was united in marriage to Teresa Peyton on November 24, 1983 in Bellevue. In his free time Billy loved camping, listening to audio books, and spending time with his family. Billy enjoyed driving trucks for a living and was employed at Austin Powder Company for the past 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Terry Lindsey; his father, Jimmy Lindsey; and his step-mother, Mary Lindsey.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Teresa Lindsey of Bridgeport; his daughter, Tiffany Hall of Little Elm; his son-in-law, Chris Hall of Little Elm; his granddaughter, Linzie Marie Hall of Little Elm; his brother, Larry Lindsey and his wife, Darlene of Chico; his sister, Pam Lindsey of Bowie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
