Billy Ray Looney

Billy Ray Looney, 88, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14th, 2024 at New Hope Fellowship Church with burial at Cottonwood Cemetery.

Jack Sandford & Buster Henderson will officiate. Pallbearers include Matthew Lavender, Jacob McMaster, Ty McMaster, Jarrett McMaster, David Ellis, Aaron Ellis, and Jimmy Brian Looney.

Bill was born May 14th, 1936 to James Benjamin and Jane (Anglin) Looney in Willis, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage May 25th, 1957 to Margaret Nell Pate in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was a Rancher/Farmer for many years. Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jane Looney; his daughter, Diane Looney; numerous brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Margaret Nell Looney of Decatur; his daughters, Joy Henry and husband Lonny of Decatur, and Brenda Kay McMaster and husband Steve of Decatur; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; his brother, Delmes Looney of Alvord; his sister, Frances Watkins; extended family members and a host of friends.
