Chico ~ Billy Gene Powers, 86, a field agent, went to be with our Lord, Friday, October 14, 2011 at his home.
Graveside service is 10 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at Cottondale Cemetery. Rev. David Rucker will officiate.
Billy was born on February 8, 1925 to Henry and Louise (Powers) Redd in Dallas. He married Dollie Trammell on January 7, 1947 in Weatherford. Dollie preceded him in death on January 20, 2004. Billy served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a field agent in the Soil Conservation Service.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and his brother, Carl Powers.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Doyle Powers and wife Linda and Jack Powers and wife Sue; his grandchildren, Lori Powers Henderson and husband Tucker, Kim Powers Trujello and husband Stephen, Chase Gilbert and wife Cristy, Staci Russell and husband Wes; 7 great grandchildren, Bailey, Beck, Taylor, Gabbi, Piper, Logan, and Morgan; his best friend Goldie; other relatives and a host of friends.
