BOYD -- Billy V. Ray, 61, an employee of Imperial Fabrications in Decatur, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, in Fort Worth.
Graveside service: private. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Christian-Hawkins Chapel. Speaker: Perry MacFlories. Pallbearers: Joe McGill, William Carmichael, Jim Moody, Doug Garnett, Greg Gaunt, and Claud Arnold.
Billy was born on November 15, 1945 in Fort Worth to Albert Winfield and Ella Mae (Spears) Ray. He married Barbara Fincher on April 11, 1969, in Killeen. He served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Winfield Ray; and brother, Albert Wayne Ray.
Survivors: Wife of 38 years, Barbara Ray of Boyd; son, William A. Ray and wife, Amy of Boyd; daughter, Wendy McGill and husband, Joe of Boyd; grandchildren, Stephen Bowman, Jessica McGill, Caitlyn Ray, Colten Ray, Dylan McGill and Tylor Seely; mother, Mae Ray of Rendon; brother, Joseph Henry Ray of Crescent City, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
