Chico ~ Billy Frank Tidwell, 77, a retired customer service employee, went to be with our Lord, Friday, October 7, 2011 at his home.
Funeral is 4:30 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Chico Cemetery.
Clyde Austin will officiate. Pallbearers are Chris Tidwell, Randy Tidwell, Jason Jernigan, Casey Caraway, Cody Caraway, and Austin Poole.
Billy was born on August 1, 1934 to Robert and Pearl (Emery) Tidwell in Grapevine, Texas. He married Kathy Grayson on October 4, 1991 in Bridgeport. Billy served his country in the U.S. Navy. After 33 years, he retired from Delta Airlines. Billy was a long time resident of Boyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tony Tidwell; and his brothers, Ottice, John, and Thaddeus Tidwell.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Kathy Tidwell of Chico; his son, Randy Tidwell of Corpus Christi; his daughter, Peggy Tidwell Jernigan of Bridgeport; his son, Larry Tidwell and wife Susan of Alvin, Texas; his son, Dennis Tidwell and wife Leesa of Boyd; his son, John Caraway of Bowie; his son, Lynn Caraway of Boston, Massachusetts; his daughter, Deanna Poole and husband Gregg of Decatur; 12 grandchildren, Chris, Kelly, Lil Randy, Steve, Jason, Candace, Whitney, Maegan, Shelbi, Casey, Cody, and Austin; 8 great grandchildren, Brett, William, Jacob, Isabell, Laramie, Brody, Maddie, and Lacey; his sisters, Marie Grant of Hurst, Ramah Jo Wood of Grapevine, and Nancy Widner of Graham; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

It was a great honor to have known and worked with Billy Frank for so many years. He was liked by all, but the level of respect that people had for him was even greater. He was always a hard working, honest and truly good person. The world is a lesser place without him.
