Chico: Bob Carter, 67, a retired oilfield worker, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 28, 2011 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 10 AM Monday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel with private burial. Family will receive friends 4-6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Eddie Bo Johnson will be the speaker. Pallbearers are Blake Sampson, Glen Christopher, Bobby Ray, Robert Cox, Don Taylor and Clay Martin.
Robert was born April 1, 1943 to Jim and Mary (Bonds) Carter in Wichita Falls. He married Linda J. Parker on June 1, 1964 in Wichita Falls.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his sister, Linda Moore; and his brother, James Bonds.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Evette Sampson and husband Gary of Chico; his son, Allen Carter of Chico; his grandchildren, Blake, Torie and Carra; his great grandchild, Braisey; his sister, Keitha Musick of Vernon; other family members and a host of friends.
