RHOME -- Bob Ward, 59, a graphite technician for Poco Graphite went to be with our Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2008 in Decatur.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Countryside Baptist Church. Burial: Fairview Cemetery. Family will receive friends: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Rev. Jeff Tackett will officiate. Pallbearers: Brian Moore, Bart Mosley, Ronnie Gilmore, Jeff Horner, Bobby Bradish, and Jeremy Whitbeck.
Bob was born on July 11, 1949 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, the son of Alton and Wilma Ward. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Bob married Barbara Bradish on May 16, 1980 in Decatur. He was a member of the Countryside Baptist Church in Rhome.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Ward.
Left behind to cherish his memory is: wife of 28 years, Barbara Ward of Rhome; sons, James Ward and wife Jennifer of Fort Worth, Jason Ward of Fort Worth; daughters, Stephanie Rich and husband Rusty of Rhome, Ruth White and husband James of Mayport, Florida, and Cynthia Fox and husband Jeremy of Rhome; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Dale Ward of Louisiana, Alton Ward of Weatherford; sisters, Cynthia McKinzie of Weatherford, Gena Klima of Granbury; numerous nieces and nephews.
