Chico ~ Bob Watson, 73, a conductor with Union Pacific Railroad, went to be with our Lord Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his home in Chico.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Hawkins Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Dale Watson, Robert Watson, Terry Hand, Craig Moss, Edgar Judd, and Craig Barrett.
Bob was born on November 7, 1943 to Carl and Edna (Dickenson) Watson in Bridgeport. He was united in marriage to Marcella Barrett on April 22, 1971 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Bob served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd Class. Bob was a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the United Transportation Union Local #0243.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Hershel Watson and Gerald Watson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Marcella Watson of Chico; his sons, Keith Watson and wife Cindy of West Point, Mississippi and Greg Chung-Jeffers and wife Maria of Troy, Missouri; his grandchildren, Kara, Dawson, Levi, Braun, Reid, and Kendyl; his sister, Joan Norman and husband Tommy of Fort Worth; other family members and a host of friends.
