Decatur: Bobbie Jean Roberson Ashton, 75, a retired medical business office manager, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 18, 2008 in Decatur.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 22nd at Grace Baptist Church in Decatur with Dr. Van Gardner and Brother Bill Hughes officiating. Burial will follow the service at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 21st at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Zachary Bruton, Matthew Brannan, Nathan Ashton, Eric Evans, Jason Evans, Travis Daigneault, David Green, Robert Bruton and Clark Shahan.

Bobbie was born April 20, 1933 in Fort Worth, Texas to William Lon and Ardella Bertha (Whetsell) Roberson. She married Thomas Warren Ashton on June 8, 1979 in Decatur, Texas. Bobbie was a member of Eastern Star and a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Thomas Ashton of Decatur; daughter, Elizabeth Wagner of Poolville, Texas; sons, Artie Green of North Richland Hills, Kenneth Green of Decatur, Mark and David Green both of Pittsburg, Texas; her beloved step-daughters, Tracey Bruton of Paradise, Tina West of Oleathe, Kansas, Audred Safavimehr of Lubbock, Texas; sisters, LaVell Mann of Decatur and Marcine Rebstock of Carrollton; sisters-in-law, Frankie Roberson of Hurst, Phyllis Moten of Lewisville, and Linda Roberson of Sherwood, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
