Bobby C. Carpenter

Chico ~ Bobby C. Carpenter, 87, went to be with our Lord Monday, November 25, 2024 in Decatur.

Funeral Service is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27th, at Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport with burial at Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bro. David Pugh to officiate. Pallbearers are Buckey Carpenter, Michael Read, Butch Baker, Ricky Read, David Moore, and Scotty Ferrier.

Bobby was born on August 6, 1937 to Jim and Agnes M. (Martin) Carpenter in Bridgeport. He was united in marriage to Jenetta M. McDaniel on June 29, 1960 in Bridgeport. Bobby retired from Vulcan Materials as a safety and health manager. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. Bobby was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport and a lifetime resident of Wise County. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jenetta Carpenter; and his brothers, Harold Ray Carpenter and Jimmy L. Carpenter.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Leisha Blaylock and husband Bill of Chico; his grandchildren, Josh Blaylock and wife Joli and Jessica Harbor and husband Joshua; his great-grandchildren, Logan, Cade, Tatum, and Eli Blaylock and Davi and Hannah Harbor; his brother, J.P. Carpenter of Bridgeport; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
