Decatur: Bobby Jones, 75, a retired butcher, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, July 16th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Jim McGaha and Charles Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Keith Jones, Jimmy John Jones, Mike Jones, David Jones, George Litton, Ross Jones, Jason Jones and Fred Jones.
Bobby was born April 5, 1935 in Lamesa, Texas to Kenneth and Vera Alexander Jones. He married Betty Lee on September 20, 1975 in Decatur, Texas. Bobby was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Betty Jones of Decatur; two son, Norman Jones and wife, Deb of Weatherford, Phillip Reeves of Irving; two daughter, Sheri Decker of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Donna Fulton and husband, Gary of Athens, Texas; grandson, Aaron Jones and wife, Jessica of Ft. Mills, South Carolina; granddaughter, Ashley Jones of Weatherford; great granddaughter, Haley June Jones; five brothers, Jimmy John Jones and wife, Mary of Decatur, Mike Jones of Runaway Bay, David Jones of Alvarado, Keith Jones and wife Verna of Decatur, Joe Jones and wife, Jay of Flint, Texas; four sisters, Martha Jane Miller of Chico, Julie Cottrell of Chico, Joy Litton and husband George of Crawford, and Sonya Padam of Bridgeport.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jackie and Shannon Jones.
