Bobby "Lighting" Pitts, Jr.

Rhome ~ Bobby “Lightning” Pitts, Jr., 61, went to be with our Lord Monday, April 12, 2021 in Rhome.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Blake Stockard, Jeremy Smith, Mike Turner, Danny Gray, Kendall Williams, Travis Wilson, Bradley Pitts, and Kevin Belcher. Honorary Pallbearers are Collin Stewart, Wyatt Belcher, Boe Pinner, J.T. Sloas, and Braidan Turner.

Bobby was born on July 9, 1959 in Denton. He was a welder at TLR Welding and Fabricating. Bobby was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his momma, Juanita Palmer; his dad, Ruben Palmer; his mother, Betty Sue Simpson; his sister, Terri Elaine Pitts-Fletcher; and his stepson, Justin Sloas.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Christine Pitts of Rhome; his daughter, Jamie Belcher and husband Kevin of Canyon Lake; his son, Bradley Pitts and wife Leandra of Rhome; his step-son, Jason Sloas and wife Tiffany of Rhome; 9 grandchildren, Kaleb, Bailey, Braidan, Boe, Wyatt, J.T., Viktoria, Emery, and Freya; 3 sisters, Stacey Turner and husband Mike, Lana Ramos and husband Kirby, and Debbie Themur and family; his brother-in-law, Danny Gray; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
