Bobby C. Richey

Chico ~ Bobby C. Richey, 79, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in Grapevine.

Memorial is 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to Memorial.

Rev. Lionel Young and Jack McAsey will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Powers, J.P. Carpenter, Mike Moss, Jimmy Hand, Lynn Hartsell and Carroll Trotter.

Bobby was born January 1, 1940, to Gus Matthew and Opal (Warden) Richey in Crafton. He was united in marriage January 10, 1959, to Frances Jean Trotter in Bowie. Bobby was a retired mechanic and inspector for Natural Gas Pipeline of America, and a peanut farmer. He was a member of Crafton Baptist Church, and American Quarter Horse Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, June Cox and Judy Richey; his brother, Buddy Richey; his godson, Clint Cox.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Frances Richey of Chico; his daughters, Pam Reed and husband Glenn of Chico and Paula Remily and husband Steve of Chico; his sons, Doug Richey of Chico and Donnie Richey of Chico; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Janet Myers and husband Bill of Leander and Anna Hand and husband Jimmy of Chico; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
