Bobby "Midget" Seelye

Chico ~ Bobby “Midget” Seelye, 78, a retired truck driver, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 7, 2016 in Chico.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate. Pallbearers include Nobie Tucker, Dan Price, Ed Cowley, Don Austin, Coit Harris, and Gabriel Timmons. Honorary pallbearers are Snuffy Brooks and Pancho Redwine.

Bobby was born on September 16, 1937 to Lee Roy and Ozella (Talley) Seelye in Denison, Texas. He was united in marriage to Vernice Latham on April 11, 1961 in Denison. Bobby was a truck driver for Coffman Tank Truck until his retirement. He was a member of the Chico Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Roy Lee Seelye; his daughter, Christina Gay Kilgore; and his grandson, Dustin Seelye.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Vernice Seeyle of Chico; his son, Ronny Seelye of Chico; his daughter-in-law, Rena Seelye of Fort Worth; daughter-in law, Lisa Marshall of Chico; his grandchildren, Ashley Seelye, Bobby Ray Seelye, Cody Hixon; his great-grandchild, Logan Hixon; other family members and a host of friends.
