Decatur: Bobby Guy Stephens, 57, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in Corinth, Texas.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 19th at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Louis Horton officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are James Michael Gregory, Coy Lyn Gregory, Emmett Capt IV, Kyle E. Stephens, Jr., Brian Keith Freeman, Jr., Charles D. Loffler. Honorary pallbearers are Ross Mueller, Dennis Hudson, Kenny Shaw and Bill Askey.
Bobby Guy was born December 23, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas to Coy Norman and Virginia Katherine (Chipman) Stephens. He worked for Holmes Auto for over 20 years and Sterling Heat & Air for over 10 years. When he was not working, he could be found at Dennis Hudson's Station. Bobby Guy was a member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Wise County Sheriff's Posse.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his sisters, Coy Ann Stephens of Decatur, Stephanie Capt and husband, Emmett, III of Kilgore, Texas; brother, Kyle E. Stephens and wife, Debbie of Decatur; aunts Mary Greer of Decatur and Sue Steinhauser of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
