Bobby Joe Tidwell

Bobby Joe Tidwell, age 82 of Newark, passed away on July 29, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bobby was born on January 3, 1942 in Winfield, Alabama, where he spent his formative years. He married Brenda Joyce Jackson in Wise County on August 23, 1989.

He went on to serve in United States Air Force and later became a local business owner doing Mobile Truck Washing. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.

Bobby is proceeded in death by his parents, Cecil and Muriel Tidwell, brother, Terry Tidwell, sister, Ann Gillinger, daughter, Barbara Bailey, granddaughters, Jamie Ballard, Brittany Tidwell and great grandson, Timothy Ballard.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Tidwell; daughters, Vicki Robinson, Cheryl Ballard, Julia & spouse Mark Thomason, and Joyce Dominguez; son, Bobby Tidwell, Jr.; brother, Tommie Tidwell; grandchildren, TJ Ballard, Alec Dominguez, Alyssa Dominguez, Jessica Moses, Kristi Moses, Mark Thomason, Matthew Thomason, Amber Tidwell, Ashleigh Tidwell, Elizabeth Tidwell, Emily Tidwell, and many great grandchildren and extended family members and a host of friends.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
