Weatherford ~ Bobby Joe West, 78, formerly of Boyd, went to be with our Lord Sunday, March 17, 2019, in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Hawkins Funeral Home Boyd with burial in Garvin Cemetery in Boyd. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Randy Todd will officiate. Pallbearers include Derek West, Bobby West, Joseph West, Anthony Bosch, Jeffrey Bosch, and Jeremy West. Honorary pallbearers, Jonathan Pete, Hugo Mendoza, and Changle Rea.
Bobby was born on March 13, 1941, to Moses and Moise (Hughes) West in Winnfield, Louisiana. He was united in marriage to Susie L. Berg on February 16, 2012, in Weatherford. Bobby was a machinist for Lockheed Martin. He was a member of Garvin Methodist Church in Boyd and the Masonic Lodge. Bobby proudly served our country in the United States Marines.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Georgia Gail West; and wife, Judy West.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Sue West of Weatherford; his sons, Tandy West and wife Ana of Irving, Jerry West of Dalhart, Robert West and wife Laurie of Fort Worth, and Kenneth West of Irving; his daughter, Tina Kruse and husband Tony of North Richland Hills; his sister, Mary Seig of Cross Roads; his grandchildren, Jackie West, Derek and spouse Jeremy West, Joseph West and wife Nikki, Anthony Bosch, Jeffrey Bosch, Bobby West, Shannon Silva and husband Aaron, Rebekah West, Jonathan Pete, Jessicca Wright and husband Robbie, Nikki France and husband Brandon, Kimberly Gaston, Ashley Gaston, Tiffany Horton and husband Joseph, and Hugo, Ana Gabriel, and Alejandro Mendoza; 14 great-grandchildren; his faithful companion, Yoda; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
