PLANO ~ Bobby Lee Yarbrough, 79, a retired IBM auditor, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011 at his home in Plano.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial in Garvin Cemetery. Dr. John McCormick to officiate. Family to receive friends at 1 p.m. Tuesday before the service. Pallbearers: Matt, Adam, Cory and Keenan Yarbrough, Scott Jensen and Preston Biard.
Bobby was born July 24, 1931 to Dewey and Sarah Stewart Yarbrough in Waco, TX. He married Ernestine Loafman on June 29, 1952 in Waco, the same year he joined IBM. Bobby was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Starlene Martin and his brother, D. B. Yarbrough, Jr.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Ernestine; 3 sons, Robert Yarbrough and his wife Karen of Trophy Club, Milton Yarbrough and his wife Debbie of Mesquite, Alan Yarbrough and his wife Cindy of Arlington; his daughter, Betty Beth Jensen and her husband David of Plano; 8 grandchildren, Matt, Adam, Cory, Keenan and Sasha Yarbrough, Cassidy Klarquist, Mary Biard and Scott Jensen; 4 great grandchildren, Aidan, Nolan, Sophia and Isaac; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to Autumn Journey Hospice, 5347 Spring Valley Rd., Dallas, TX 75254.

Bobby Lee was one of the few relatives we've met on my mother's side of the family. He couldn't have been a better representative. We still talk about the stories he shared at my "Big Mama's" (Mabel Nix's) funeral. Rest in peace "BobbaLee".

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Bobby Lee was such a comfort to our family when he helped with the arrangements of my grandmother, Mable Bell Nix, when she died. Boy, did he lighten things up and make us laugh. I heard more stories in those few short days with him than my mother, Janell Nix Sheldon, ever shared before.

Bob was a gentle and loving man. He tolerated so many of us through our wild years, (Bob will smile and know what I mean) and supported us with his friendship and wisdom. We have such fond memories of Bob and will cherish them deeply.
