Bobby Lee "Papaw" Cantrell

Bridgeport~ Bobby Lee " PaPaw" Cantrell, 79, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial to follow in West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Rev. Greg Shaw will officiate. Pallbearers are to include, Robby Kasner, Randy McComis, Billy McElhaney, Danny Trammell, Lane Sandlin, and Trevor Meek.

Bobby was born on February 28, 1942 to Melvin and Gladys (Parks) Cantrell in Gallatin, Tennessee. He worked many years as a contractor in the construction industry. Bobby was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carole Sue Dethloff on December 10, 1963 in Bridgeport, Texas, where they made their home together and shared many wonderful memories. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and more who will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ernest Cantrell; and his step-dad that raised him, Marvin Dethloff.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Carole Sue Cantrell of Bridgeport; his daughter, Traci Buntaine and husband Rob of Hurst; his grandson, Lane Sandlin and wife Madison of The Woodlands; his brother, Wesley Cantrell and wife Nadine of Bridgeport; numerous extended family members and a host of good friends and neighbors.
