Weatherford ~ Bobette Dodd, 63, formerly of Alvord, a LVN, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Fort Worth.
Graveside service is 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10th at Alvord Cemetery in Alvord. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Rev. Jay Bruner will officiate. Pallbearers include Larry Nivens, Randy Neighbors, Brandon Dodd, Greg Worlund, and Gayland Wheelis.
Bobette was born on July 31, 1948 to William and Bobby (Farrar) Speed in Sherman, Texas. She was a LVN at John Peter Smith Hospital. Bobette was united in marriage to James Dodd on April 1, 1966 in Alvord. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Euless.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robin Chambers.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 46 years, James Dodd of Weatherford; her son, Chris Dodd and wife Nancy of Euless; her grandchildren, Nicole and Dustin Dodd; her brother in law and sister in law, Pat and Carla Dodd of Enid, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
