Decatur ~ Bonnie Lee Allen, 97, a retired teacher, went to be with our Lord Friday, March 31, 2017 in Decatur.
Funeral is 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate.
Bonnie was born on April 2, 1919 to R.L. and Georgia (English) Coats in Ryan, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Bill Allen on April 30, 1938 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Bonnie retired from teaching Decatur Elementary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 1 brother; 1 sister.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dianne Arnette Stanley and husband Tommy of Fort Worth, Linda Dollins of Arlington; her grandchildren, Eric Arnette and wife Kristie of Athens, Texas, Adam Arnette and wife Claudia of Dallas, Chad Arnette and wife Caroline of Fort Worth, Lori Price and husband Steve of Richardson; 8 great grandchildren; 2 nieces; 1 nephew; and a host of friends.
