BRIDGPEORT -- Bonnie Jean Joseph, 75, a retired librarian, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, in Decatur.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2007 First Presbyterian Church, Bridgeport. Rev. Lucia McKee Kremzar will officiate.
Graveside Service: 9:45 a.m. Monday, December 31, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.
Bonnie was born on July 6, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to Wallace and Elsie (Burke) Carson. She was a 1949 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School where she was a Lasso girl and in the High Honor Society. She was also a University of Texas graduate where she was active in the Tri Delta Honor Society and the Alpha Gamma Delta Sororiety. Bonnie married Marion Allen Joseph on September 14, 1954 in San Antonio. He preceded her in death in 1977. Also preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Dorothy Bieniek.
Left behind to cherish her memory are: her daughters, Jennifer Bertaut and husband Louis of Garland and Julie Joseph of Cartersville, Georgia; her son, John Joseph and wife Janine of Cartersville, Georgia; 2 grandsons, Benjamin and Christopher; brother-in-law, James Edward Joseph of San Antonio; several nieces and nephews.
