Funeral for Bonnie Provence Thomason, 74, of Plano, formerly of Bridgeport is 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at Prestonwood Faith Chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. Burial is 3:00 p.m. Friday at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior and after the service at the church.
Bonnie Lou Provence Thomason of Plano, Texas was born to Charles Provence and Oleta Moorehead Provence in Fort Worth, Texas on July 10th, 1941. She was their second daughter, Peggy Fowler is her surviving older sister. They made their home in Amarillo, Texas. Bonnie graduated from Amarillo High and then attended Southwestern Assemblies of God College. She married Curtis Thomason January 29, 1960. She was survived by daughter Brenda Carter (Richardson), son Barry Thomason and his wife Kelly (Lewisville) and daughter Becky Thomason (Dallas). She had four grandchildren, Cody Thomason, Eric Carter, Christopher Carter and Jenna Thomason.
She looked forward to visits and outings with her sister, children, grandchildren, inlaws and friends. She was a very caring mother and grandmother. Her laughter was infectious. She had the best time improvising songs on the piano, organ and accordion. She dedicated her talents and skills to playing Christian hymns to bring joy to others and honor to God. She loved all things beautiful and was grateful for all God had given her. Her love was evident to all through her smile, kind words and generosity. Through her life, she shared God’s love with all who came into contact with her.
