Decatur ~ Bonnie Ruth White, 85, an LVN, went to be with our Lord Thursday, May 1, 2014 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate. Pallbearers include Tommy Bishop, Lonnie Bishop, Gary Wilson, Darrell Wilson, Troy Williams, and David Cordero.
Bonnie was born on January 2, 1929 to Robert and Clara (Langford) Dempsey in Slidell. She was united in marriage to Harrell White on January 13, 1945 in Decatur. Bonnie was an LVN for over 30 years. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harrell; and her son, Leon White.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Paul White and wife Lahoma of Fort Worth; her daughter-in-law, Mary White of Decatur; her grandchildren, Chris White and wife Tressie of Decatur, Brandi White and husband Jason of Stillwater, Beth Turner and husband Jon of Arlington, Kim Owen and husband Steven of Spring Hall, Tennessee, and Kandy Butz of Brownwood; her great grandchildren, Kelby, Calvin, Kaleb, Colton, Harrison, Audrey, Ryan, Maxwell, Cheyenne, Sarah, Lauren, and Samuel; other family members and a host of friends.
