Fort Worth: Brenda Harkins, 62, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Graveside service is 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8th at Bethel Cemetery in Decatur with Kirk McAfee officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Troy V. Phipps, Danny W. Phipps, James C. Phipps, Jr., Jennifer C. Glass, Jason G. Phipps, Justin W. Phipps, Timothy S. McAfee, Amber N. McAfee, Benjamin C. McAfee and Joshua C.T. McAfee.

Brenda was born on February 2, 1950 in Breckenridge, Texas to Willie Vernon and Mary Jane (Wallace) Phipps. She was a graduate of Graford High School. Brenda was united in marriage to Bennie Reese Harkins. She was employed by Texas Neighborhood Services.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Mary Lisa Payne and husband Roger of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Michael James Massie, Jordan Keith Massie and Ciara Jane Arnold; great-grandchildren, Chason, Levi and Hamilton; sister, Margaret V. McAfee and husband Kirk of Cooper City, Florida; brothers, Vernon Wallace Phipps of Brazoira, Texas, Gary Garland Phipps of Benbrook, and James Curtis Phipps and wife Ann of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kimberly Leann Arnold; brother, Wayne Phipps; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Phipps; nephew, Larry Wallace Phipps; and niece, Natasha Viann McAfee.
