Bud Buck

Bridgeport ~ Emmett Austin “Bud” Buck, Jr., 86, of Bridgeport went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 4, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial following at East Bridgeport Cemetery.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Brother Jimmy Williams and Brother Cooper McClung will officiate. Pallbearers include Jerry Buck, Jeff Buck, Russell Stephens, Warren Williams, J.D. Williams, David McEntire, and Clint Williams.  Honorary Pallbearers include Justin Williams, and Kermit Stephens.

Bud was born March 24, 1935 to Emmett Austin and Trella (Nelson) Buck, Sr. in Sanderson, Texas. He was a truck driver that also loved woodworking and making things to give to his family. Bud married Jo Buck February 5, 1981 and remained together until her passing May 18, 2021. He loved spending time with family. Bud was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jo Buck; his son, Scotty Williams; and his brother, J.P. Buck.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Jimmy Williams and wife Stacy of Paradise; his daughter, Traci Williams of Paradise; his grandchildren, Jessica Autry and husband Eric, J.D. Williams, Jr., and Justin Williams; his great-grandchildren, Alec Autry, Natilia Caywood, Lessa Autry, Lynnox Williams, and Hunter Williams; his sister, Billie Kay Williams and husband Warren of Amarillo, his sister-in-law, Judy Graham and husband Monte of Chico; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
