Buddy Erick Blalock

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel with burial in West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home.

The Reverend Dana Coker and Reverend Johnny Irish to officiate. Pallbearers: David Hutto, David Saling, Craig Sellars, Dewayne Torres, Tony Green, Brett Munn, Rob Hawkins and Bart Weatherly.

Erick was born April 15, 1961 to Buddy and Carnelia (Tackel) Blalock in Bridgeport. He was a lease operator for Mitchell Energy and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Amanda Handley of Bridgeport, Ericka Blalock of Woodward, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Jalyn and Dane Handley, and Rayli Barboza; his parents, Buddy and Carnelia Blalock of Bridgeport; his brother, Jeff Blalock and wife Shanna of Bridgeport; numerous cousins; other relatives and a host of friends.

Buddy and Carnilia,

Betty and I are sorry we can't make visitation or make the funeral for Eric. We know it's another heart wrenching loss for the entire family. I met one of your granddaughters somewhere recently, just can't remember where or what her name was, but she was a delightful young lady and I fed her a bunch of stories about both of you from the 50's. She was especially surprised about Buddy once being skinny.

Anyway, our prayers are with you both!
