Decatur ~ Odis Willie “Bus” Boner, 89, a retired aerospace machinist, went to be with our Lord Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Decatur.

Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, Decatur Church of Christ in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur, Texas. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service Wednesday at Decatur Church of Christ in Decatur.

Rick Ross will officiate. Pallbearers include Hubert Boner, Jerry McKeever, Alvin Boner, Dennis Lee, Christopher Lee, and Ronnie Hess. Honorary pallbearers are Brent Wallace, Raymond McKeever, and Paul Ingram.

Bus was born on October 28, 1926 to Benjamin and Myrtle Iona (Edge) Boner in Alvord, Texas. He was united in marriage to Frances Winnell Morris on May 8, 1948 in Decatur until her passing in 1998. Bus married Noma Pipes in 2000 until her passing in 2002. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Bus retired after 25 years of service with LTV Aerospace. He loved the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. Bus was a member of Decatur Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Winnell Boner, and Noma Pipes; his son, Randel Boner; his brothers, Hubert Boner, John Boner, and Alvis Boner; his sister, Evelena McKeever.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sheryl Christian and husband Ricky of Decatur; his grandchildren, Rusty Christian and wife Melanie of Keller, Mandi McGinnis and husband Scott of Justin, and Tiffney Watson and husband Jeremy of Rhome; his great grandchildren, Lane Christian, Lindsay Christian, Caden Christian, Jarrod Christian, Madison McGinnis, Mallory McGinnis, Christian McGinnis, Blaine Watson, Cash Watson, and Tinley Watson; his brother-in-law, Olen Morris and wife Elaine of Fort Worth; his sister-in-law, Margie Bradshaw of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
