Chico ~ Butch South, 86, a retired cattle buyer, went to be with our Lord Thursday , May 9, 2013 in Chico.
Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Bro. Craig Erb will officiate.
Butch was born on October, 9, 1926 to Joe and Stella (Boswell) South in Springtown. He served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Jean (Dunning) South; and his brothers, Joe South and Roy South.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jodie Buzan and husband Doug of Weatherford, Janie Williams and husband Ronnie of Azle, Pattie Teague and husband Roy of Chico; his son, Mike South and wife Diana of Jasper; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
