Decatur – Carl Glenn Chapman, 73, of Decatur went to be with his Lord Friday, January 06, 2017 at his home in Decatur.
Visitation will be from 2 – 4 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur.
Carl was born February 12, 1943 to Ellsworth Arthur and Edna (Starr) Chapman in Michigan. He married Catherine Clemens March 21, 1964 in Decatur, Texas. He was a self employed machinist at Carl’s Machine Shop for over 20 years and was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Cathy Chapman of Decatur; 2 daughters, Kurrie Murphree and husband Patrick of Decatur, and Jeannette Ward and husband Johnny of Paradise; son, Glenn Chapman and wife Christy of The Colony; 2 sisters, Gay Racette of Marlette, Michigan and Joy Chapman of Attica, Michigan; 5 granddaughters, Jacklyn Murphree, Jennifer Ward, Jordan Ward, Baylee Murphree Niblett, and Kaitlynn Chapman; 2 grandsons, David Murphree and Trevor Chapman; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In Lieu in of flowers family asked donations may be made to Jackie Murphree Scholarship Fund.
