Paradise ~ Carl T. Cox Jr., 94, a retired dairy farmer of Paradise, went to be with our Lord, Monday, July 1, 2019 in Decatur.
Funeral is 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at First Baptist Church Bridgeport, with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Dr. Craig Erb will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chad Cox, Clint Cox, Cyle Cox, Adam Tittor, Jim Bost, and Jack Moody.
Carl was born June 4, 1925 to Carl T. Cox Sr. and Beulah (Brown) in Altus, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Pauline Davis on July 26, 1944 in Fort Worth. Carl proudly served our country in the United States Army. He served as a Deacon for over 30 years at First Baptist Bridgeport, given the honor of Deacon Emeritus.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Pauline Cox of Paradise; his son, Neal C. Cox.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Jerry and wife Betsy Cox of Paradise; his grandsons, Chad Cox and wife Nikki of Paradise, Clint Cox and wife Brittney of McKinney, and Cyle Cox of Benbrook; 4 great -grandchildren, Alison, Alan, Colton, and Clayton.
