Carl was born August 6, 2009 in Ashville, North Carolina to Charlie Henry and Hazel Ophelia (Hutchinson) Jones. He married Janie Louise Joiner on October 27, 1972 in Dallas, Texas. Carl was a residential contractor.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Janie L. Jones of Rhome; daughter, Jeanette Castleberry of Rhome; mother, Hazel Jones of Cedar Creek, Texas; sisters, Carolyn Carl of Farmers Branch, Nellie Mae Lunsford of Oklahoma, Linda Morgan of Cedar Creek, Wilma Weaver of Paris, Texas, Geraldine Hatman of Ennis, Texas; three grandchildren, Michael Castleberry, Amber and Autumn Withers.
