Carl Alan Young

Decatur ~ Carl Alan Young, 59, of Decatur went to be with his Lord Sunday, January 6, 2019 in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial in West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Carl Ray Young, Roy Teeler, Curtis Young, Rodney Lynn Young, Preston McCloud, and Tim Donah.

Alan was born January 15, 1960 to Carl James and Bonnie (Recer) Young in Decatur, Texas at the old Roger's Hospital. He worked for FX5 Construction and was the best Heavy Equipment Operator, especially since he had been doing it since he was 18.  Carl loved riding motorcycles, spending time with his family, and fishing. He was united in marriage to Angela McCloud on June 4, 2005 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Angie Young of Alabama; sons, Carl Ray Young and wife Amber of Fort Worth, Bobby Young of Fort Worth, Roy Teeler of Fort Worth, Bubba Teeler and wife Alicia of Fort Worth, Darrell Teeler and wife of Fort Worth, and Preston McCloud of Tennessee; daughters, Jackee McCloud of Alabama and Tina McCloud of Tennessee; numerous grandchildren, including Lauryn and Emily Young;  his mother, Bonnie Young of Saginaw; brothers, Rodney Lynn Young of Springtown and Curtis Ray Young of Saginaw; sisters, Connie Perez of Decatur, Leslie Edmonson of Saginaw, Lori Juarez of Saginaw, and Carolyn Donahue of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.

Alan was preceded in death by his father and a son, Billy Joe Young.
