Decatur: Carmelo Hernandez, 62, a construction worker, went to be with our Lord Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Decatur.
Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23rd at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Rosary is 6 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home following the service. Father Jacob Alvares officiating.
Carmelo was born on January 28, 1950 in Durango, Mexico to Dimas and Esiquia (Aguirre) Hernandez. He was united in marriage to Maria Cruz in January, 1968 in Durango, Mexico.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Hernandez of Decatur; son, Jose Alberto Ulises Hernandez of Mexico; two daughters, Perla Selene Hernandez of Mexico, Carolina Hernandez of Decatur; three brothers, Roberto, Teodosio and Gustavo Hernandez; two sisters, Eva and Rosalba all of Mexico.
