Bridgeport ~ Carnelia “Connie” Grace Blalock, 76, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Monday, April 4, 2016 in Plano.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport with burial in West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Connie was born on June 28, 1939 to Aubrey and Opal (Johnston) Tackel in Bridgeport. She was united in marriage to Buddy Blalock on May 2, 1959 in Bridgeport. Connie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buddy Blalock; and her son, Erick Blalock.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jeff Blalock and wife Shanna of Bridgeport; her granddaughters, Amanda and Ericka; her great granddaughters, Jalyn, Rayli, Reese, and Bexley; her great grandsons, Dane, Aiden, and Ashton; her brother, John Tackel of Garland; other family members and a host of friends.
