Sulphur Springs ~ Carol Johnson Reid, 59, an administrative assistant, went to be with our Lord Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral was 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12th at West Oaks Funeral Home chapel. Graveside was noon Sunday, May 13th at East Bridgeport Cemetery with Hawkins Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
Rev. Michael Moore officiated. Pallbearers included Carol Bryan, Shone Trimm, Roger Feagley, Jerry Voss, Gordon Payne and Scott Sarine. Honorary pallbearer included Bobby Gillis.
Carol was born on July 23, 1952 to James and Eunice (Payne) Johnson in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was united in marriage to Mike Reid on December 31, 1981 in Dallas. Carol worked for the Sulphur Springs Economic Development Council. She was a member of the Pine Forest United Methodist Church.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are husband, Mike Reid of Sulphur Springs; her parents, James and Eunice Johnson; her sister, Jan Johnson Brown and husband Kevin of Summerfield, North Carolina; her nephew, Tyler Sebastion; other family members and a host of friends.
