Carolina Rivas (Castaã±Eda) Zamora

Decatur ~ Carolina Rivas Zamora, 60, went to be with our Lord Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday with Rosary at 6 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Carolina was born January 3, 1961 to Lorenzo Rivas Castañeda and Genoveva Rivas (Esparza) Castañeda in Zaragoza, Coah, Mexico. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Refugio Zamora of Decatur; her daughters, Nancy Zamora of Denton, Perla Martinez and husband Shane of Decatur, Ashley Najera and husband Maximiliano of Decatur, Cruz Saragoza of Ft.Worth, and Maria Mares and husband Vidal of Decatur; her 11 grandchildren, Randy, Ronny, Marlen, Hector, Edgar, Gerardo, Rachel, Natalie, Nathan, David, and MJ; her brothers, Fidel of Eagle Pass, Lorenzo of Florida, and Raul of San Antonio; her sisters, Hilaria of Ft.Stockton, and Guadalupe of Ft.Worth; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
