Caroline Gail (Mccasland) Stewart

Carrollton ~ Caroline Gail Stewart, 73, went to be with our Lord Monday, March 27, 2023.

Caroline was born in Decatur January 23, 1950 to Ben Hardin and Johnnie Clara (Hardee) McCasland. She was united in marriage in 1967 to Marshall Wayne Stewart of San Angelo, Texas. They had 2 sons, Sean Lyn and Shane Paul who passed away as a teenager. In recent years she was married to Jade Edwards of Carrollton. Caroline was a retired nurse after many years of service in the Neo-Natal ward of Parkland Hospital in Dallas and was a member of The Walnut Hill Church of Christ. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, niece, cousin and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her son, Shane Paul Stewart; her sisters, Betty Laverne Brock, and Linda Diane McCasland and her brother, Billy Earl McCasland.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Sean Stewart of Roswell, Georgia; her husband, Jade J. Edwards of Carrollton;  2 grandchildren, Maddie and Connor; her brothers, Royce Edward McCasland of the town of Lake Tawakoni and Donald Ben McCasland, Larry Jerl McCasland, and Gary Berl McCasland, all of Decatur and Slidell, Texas; her aunt, Willie Morgan of Dallas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Graveside Memorial is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery in the Greenwood Community north of Decatur.
