Carolyn Lee (Triplett) Kernan

Decatur ~  Carolyn Lee Kernan, 75, of Decatur went to be with her Lord Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.

Graveside service is 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Justin Cemetery in Justin, Texas. Tyler White will officiate.

Carolyn was born August 7, 1942 to Troy Lee and Billie Maudine (Wall) Triplett in Hillsboro, Texas. She was a retired school teacher for Hobbs Municipal Schools in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Left behind to cherish her memory are 2 daughters, Lisa Hicks and husband Dwayne of Decatur, and Amy Kernan of Duncanville;  2 sons, John Lynn Watkins and wife Sonya of Duncanville, and Andy Kernan of Wisconsin;  step daughter, Kerri Kernan of Newark, New Jersey;  4 step sons, Dr. John Kernan and wife Gay of Hobbs, New Mexico, David Kernan of Friendswood, and Jason Keran of Oklahoma;  12 grandchildren;  6 great-grandchildren;  a brother, Lynn Triplett and wife Gayle;  numerous cousins, a nephew, and a host of friends and former students.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  husband, Mackie Watkins;  husband, Dr. Jack Kernan;  step-son, James Kernan; and a son, Michael Kernan.
