Carolyn Sue (Shaffer) Redding

Rhome ~ Carolyn Sue Redding, 73, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, April 14, 2020 in Rhome, Texas.

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2020 on Facebook Live on Debbie Dakan page.

Carolyn was born March 18, 1947 to Merle and Jean (Ools) Shaffer in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Dick Redding. Carol was retired from sales in petroleum production, and she graduated from the Eastern New Mexico University of Oilfield Technology. She was the best son her Dad ever had. Carol loved gardening, building, crafting, country music, playing pool and America. She was very proud to be a girl scout leader, and the Ultimate Dallas Cowboys fan. Carol was passionate about political issues and enjoyed Donald Trump’s presidency. She was the most beautiful lady I've ever met. She could make do of anything and was very creative; she loved, and cared for and helped a lot of people in her life. Carol cherished and loved her family. She  was ready to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was at peace.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Redding; and her parents, Merle and Jean Shaffer.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debbie Dakan and husband Joe; her brother, Robert Lancaster; her grandchildren; Christine Redden, Lauren Ferguson, Alaina Ferguson, Evan Ferguson, Skyler Dakan, Cody Dakan, Austin Dakan, Kristia Holland, and Dillan Ringer; her great-grandchildren, Riley Wallen, Jenny Redden, Tristin Redden, Briana Holland, and Amber Holland.
