Carrie Lynn (Ransom) Waddill

Decatur ~ Carrie Lynn Waddill, 54, went to be with our Lord Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Visitation is 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25th at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Memorial Service is 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 26th at Crossroads Church in Decatur.

Carrie was born February 15, 1969 to Jerry Douglas and Linda Carol (Stickler) Ransom in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage August 6, 1988 to Billy Vern Waddill in Decatur, Texas. Carrie graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from T.W.U. and retired from teaching after many years in Decatur Schools. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Ransom.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy Waddill of Decatur; her daughter, McKenna Waddill of Denton; a son, Benjamin Waddill of Decatur; her father, Jerry Ransom of Decatur; her sister, Sally Sneyd of Australia; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
