Carroll was born in Bridgeport, Texas. She married Darriel Whitehead on September 13, 1984 in Pleasant Valley, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Parker and Mary (Morgan) Hodgson.
Survivors: husband: Darriel Whitehead of Balsora; sons: Otis Baird and wife Denice of Chico, Jody Baird and wife Daisy of Willow Point; daughters: Carolyn Wice and husband Wesley of Garner, Cynthia Gunn and husband Floyd of Alvarado; grandchildren: Ashley, Mary, Stephanie, Tom, Brandy; and sister: Paulette Grimes of Garner.
