Cathy Anita Gilliland

Montague ~ Cathy Anita Gilliland, 73, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 in Plano.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Cathy was born on November 2, 1948 to Rayborn and Vanita (Osborn) Vannoy in Fort Worth, Texas. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, James Gaylord Gilliland, on June 21, 1976 in Decatur, Texas. Cathy was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her home and family and was a communications tech for Bell Telephone. She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandchildren, Scott Taylor and Luke Gilliland.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, James “Gil” Gilliland of Montague; her children, Sheri Kujan and husband Randy of Fort Worth; her son, Chris Gilliland and wife Maria Elena of New Braunfels; Kathy Ryan and husband Danny of Kalama, Washington; her daughter, Christi Williamson Adair and wife Stephanie of Emory; her son, Wes Gilliland and wife Rebecca of Montague; her son, Matthew Gilliland and wife Sarah of Pflugerville; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Ray Vannoy and wife Gail of Leander; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
